The Q Fellowship Group at Kingswood is a vibrant community dedicated to fostering full inclusion and celebrating the diversity of God's creation. We aim to create a sacred space where LGBTQ+ individuals and allies can come together in faith, share their stories, and support one another on their spiritual journeys as followers of Jesus. We organize participation in the Buffalo Grove Pride Parade, the Chicago Pride Parade and events with other like-minded churches in the Northwest suburbs. Committed to a faithful witness of God’s wide welcome, we engage in meaningful discussions, inclusive worship, area Pride Parades, advocacy, and outreach initiatives that affirm love, acceptance, and justice for all. Contact Muff Johnson to join or learn more.
Life Out Loud: Voices of Pride
Friday, February 27
7:00pm
Kingswood United Methodist Church in Buffalo Grove (401 W Dundee, BG)
Join us for an exciting time to live Life Out Loud with the Q Fellowship! We welcome the About Face Theatre to Kingswood as they bring their production, Life Out Loud: Voices of Pride, written by Dionne Addai (they/she).
Three friends journey through a gallery of stories from LGBTQ+ people, past and present. Together they investigate history’s torn out pages, discovering the power of authentic friendship, and new ideas to expand our understanding of gender and sexuality. This charming, funny, and interactive play uses poetry and improv to introduce gender expansive vocabulary, healthy coping mechanisms and often forgotten Black and Asian queer history.
Accessible entrances and restrooms are available. The event is free but registration is required.

Buffalo Grove Pride Parade and Picnic 2026
June 7, 2026
(times and specific locations coming soon)
Join Q Fellowship in this year’s BG Pride Parade! We are excited to celebrate love, inclusion, and community together, and we would love for you to be part of it. In the coming weeks, we’ll share more information about how you can help create our parade float, donate supplies, and march alongside us as a visible sign of welcome and affirmation.
Following the parade, we invite you to continue the celebration with Kingswood’s Community Outreach Team at the BG Pride Picnic. This is a wonderful opportunity to help welcome attendees, build connections, and share in a joyful, safe space with our broader community.
We are proud to be Bronze sponsors of the BG Pride Parade and to offer outreach, hospitality, and connection throughout the day. Whether you’re marching, crafting, volunteering, or simply showing up as you are—you belong here. All are welcome, always.

Celebrating Every Love Story
We are sharing this video to celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of our church community. By highlighting a recent same-sex marriage that took place at our church, we affirm that all people—regardless of sexual orientation—are welcomed, valued, and loved here. Our hope is that anyone visiting Kingswood Church feels seen, accepted, and encouraged to join a faith community that embraces God’s love for everyone.
Congratulations to the newly married couple! Thank you for allowing Kingswood Church and the Q Fellowship team to be a piece of your story!
