Sunday School
We have a great time each week in our Sunday School programs at both campuses.
During the school year, we use Grow Curriculum which offers a variety of ways for kids to learn and engage, including short video clips, games, Bible stories, and hands-on activities.
We meet kids where they're at...knowledge, experience, and energy-wise!

On occasion, we will not have Sunday School, in order to give families a chance to worship together. Please check out the schedule on the drop-down lists below.
It's SO IMPORTANT for kids to learn how to be in the service. Books and coloring activities are always available for kids to use during worship.

- At 9am, the Nursery team is ready to take care of babies and learn alongside preschoolers up through 5 years old.
- Our Kindergarten through 5th grade students will begin in the Sanctuary with their family every Sunday at 9am, then head to Sunday School with teachers around 9:15am.

Superheroes aren't heroic only when they feel like it — they're brave each and every day. The best heroes can even inspire the people around them to be brave, faithful, and hopeful in their own lives, too. In this 4-week series, kids will learn more about what it looks like to see God as the hero of our story as they hear the story of Ruth and Naomi. They'll see how God gives them companions, opportunities, boldness, and hope so they can be heroes, too!

SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE (SNL)
We love our SNL time together with 3rd through 5th graders. We gather for dinner, fellowship, and fun once or twice a month on Sunday evenings from 5pm-7pm. $3 per evening.* This school year, 3rd-5th graders will be basing our time together on a devotional book called Let's Party! Here to Shine: Born for a Reason.

The youth (6th-12th graders) will join us for the eating part. They'll be busy on a top-surprise project for our volunteers that you can help with too when you're done cooking.
Bring $3 for dinner and definitely bring a friend!

Lighting candles on an Advent wreath is a long cherished Christian tradition. Bring your family on Sunday December 1 to learn more about what an Advent wreath is and how to use it. Make your own and take it home for the Advent season.
Our come-and-go-as-you're-able workshop will be from 10am-noon at our BG campus, and 11am-noon at our DF campus.
There will be a free will donation for materials, as each wreath costs about $15.

Join us for family-friendly worship with a fun Grinch-y twist. This year’s Christmas “pageant” will be a playful Whoville skit, but rest assured—Baby Jesus is still the star of the show!

- During Sunday School, Advent Night, and Christmas Eve, kids and teens will journey to Whoville to explore how their faith can grow—just like the Grinch’s heart (three sizes!).
- Don’t miss the chance to collect a set of Grinch pins—available at six special events throughout December. Check the calendar for dates and details!

Children's Chimes and Xylophones (preK-5th grade) and Youth Praise Band (4th-12th grade) are back at it for the 2024-2025 school year.

- Children's Chimes and Xylophones begin in October for the school year. Their practice times will be on four different Sundays from 3pm-4pm, leading up to their Christmas Eve 4:30pm performance.
- The Youth Praise Band practices a couple times a month on Sundays from 4pm-5pm.

Our Kingswood Kids collected books during our Summer 2024 Book Club and donated them to Dr. Rebecca at Reynolds' Provisions for a school in Kenya.

Did you know that Gratitude Generation is a local nonprofit organization that is making generational waves?! And...they are housed in our Deerfield site campus at 815 Rosemary Terrace in Deerfield, IL.
They do a tremendous amount of compassionate work in our community, for others, teaching the next generation of children and families how to serve. We've been thrilled to partner with them at events we've held, and we support their mission to support neighbors in need while building a new generation of service-minded leaders.
