One Church, Two Places
Through thoughtful prayer and guidance by the Holy Spirit, Kingswood United Methodist Church of Buffalo Grove merged with Christ United Methodist Church of Deerfield to form one church, Kingswood United Methodist Church, in Buffalo Grove and Deerfield. As one church in two locations, we have the same mission in both communities: to Love God, Serve Others, and Build Sacred Community as followers of Jesus.
Renovation of the Church
We have painted the walls, installed new carpets, and rebuilt the altar area in the sanctuary. Additionally, we replaced the pews in the sanctuary with comfortable chairs to complement the new design of the chancel. These changes will enable us to do various worship configurations and make the sanctuary accessible for all people. Through this renovation, we pray that it creates a warm and welcoming space for the whole community.
New Additions
This new faith community will feature exciting new music, worship that incorporates all ages and enables everyone to experience Jesus' presence. We desire to celebrate the presence of all people and connect with our community as we experience the love, hope, and grace of Jesus in tangible ways.
Join us on September 8th!
All are welcome to join Kingswood: Deerfield, a new faith community in Deerfield, at our official Church Launch on September 8 at 10 am. We hope to see you there as we together love God, serve others, and build a sacred community as followers of Jesus!
