Food Pantry Open 9:30 am - 12 pm Thursdays
The Food Pantry provides food on an emergency basis to families and individuals from Wheeling Township, which includes surrounding suburbs. Through the generous donations of food items from Kingswood and other community members, we have been able to serve 40-60 families each week. Donations are accepted in our Fireside Room in the designated bin. Items may be dropped off between 9 am and 5 pm daily. The items most needed are:
- Cereal
- Pasta, pasta sauce, and mac & cheese
- Canned chili, beef stew, chicken & dumplings, tomato soup, and chicken noodle soup
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Canned tuna (small cans)
- Canned green beans, potatoes, diced tomatoes, corn, and canned fruit
- Bags of rice
- Diapers, especially sizes 4-7
- Baby wipes
- Cleaning supplies
- Hygiene products

Cook County Commissioner Scott Britton's Visit
Cook County Commissioner Scott Britton recently visited the Kingswood Church pantry on a Thursday morning in April 2026 to learn more about our ministry in order to share information with his constituents. Kingswood staff and the Food Pantry volunteers gave Commissioner Britton a tour of the Food Pantry, Thrift Store, and Medical Lending Closet housed in "Manna House" along with a first hand look at the Food Pantry in action.
Witness by Carl Ellis, Food Pantry volunteer
The Kingswood Food Pantry team would like to express our gratitude for the outpouring of support we received in response to our year end outreach.
Thanks to the very generous food and financial donations, the pantry shelves are well stocked and we are starting the year in a financially sound position. Just a few years ago, as we were coming out of COVID, the food pantry was struggling to keep the ministry going. Thanks to all the donors, food drive sponsors, our wonderful volunteers and all who helped make it possible to continue to serve our neighbors in need in 2026.
