Children’s Summer Sunday School

Beginning Sunday, June 13 through Sunday, September 5, there will be class for children age 4 through 5^th grade at both the 9:00 and 10:30 worship services in room 116BC. Nursery care through age 3 will be in the Nursery, room 139/141. Children do not move up to their new grade level until the fall.

Junior Leaders (6^th and 7^th grade) will help younger children as we build our community of faith together. Sunday School children are asked to bring food pantry items along with their regular offering. Fun themes have been planned again and of course back by popular demand is “Breakfast and a Movie”. Children at 9:00 will worship with their parents until Children’s Moment and then go to Sunday School. Children at 10:30 will go directly to class.

Here’s the schedule for Summer Sunday School during the months of June, July and August:

Food Pantry item for the month of June: Flour, peanut butter and jelly.

June 13 - Team Spirit Day/Wear your favorite sports team hat or shirt.

June 20 - Father’s Day Project.

June 27 - Breakfast and a Movie.

Food pantry item for the month of July: cooking oil, spaghetti sauce, pasta.

July 4 - No Sunday school at 9:00. All church picnic breakfast. Games for children.

            Sunday School at 10:30.

            Wear Red, White and Blue Day. Wear Patriotic colors to church/Sunday School that day.

July 11 - Crazy hair day. Wear your wildest hair do.

July 18 - Backwards Day. Wear your clothes backwards.

July 25 - Christmas in July.

Food pantry item for the month of August: rice, flour, cooking oil.

August 1 - Breakfast and a Movie.

August 8 - Outdoor game day.

August 15 - Fruit Salad Day. Bring in your favorite fruit to share.

August 22 - Sundae Sunday (Ice Cream for Breakfast).

August 29 - “What I did for Summer Vacation”. Bring in a photo of a fun place you visited this summer.

September 5 - “Wear Your Pajamas to Sunday School”.
