Ministry Background
Glory Fingers Puppet Ministry began in 1994 with a small group of youth and two adults. Today the team encompasses youth from 7th to 12th grade plus a multi-talented group of adult volunteers.
New Puppeteers are required to complete a six-week training course before becoming an active member of the team.
Each season the team prepares a half-hour musical that is presented as outreach ministry. The team has earned numerous medals and awards at Regional and International Puppet Festivals. They travel to area churches and embark on a Ministry Tour every spring.
The ministry starts behind the stage through devotions each week and team bonding experiences. The team allows the youth to express their faith journey through the Creative Arts of Interpretive Signing, Dance, God Rod’s and Puppetry.
About our Director
After attending Children’s Ministries University for two years, puppet fever struck Sheri Brubeck in 1994 and “Glory Fingers Puppet Ministry” was formed. Sheri now teaches at Regional and International Christian Puppetry conferences networking with puppeteers and directors from around the world. As a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church, Sheri considers “It a special blessing to ‘Transform Lives’ with the dedicated Kingswood Youth and our menagerie of characters.”
