To provide quality care for 2 and 3-year old children in a safe, child-centered environment.

 

About PDO

·         Parent’s Day Out provides a breathing space for parents and a creative learning environment for each young child 

·         The program is offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 9:30 AM-1:30 PM. 

·         Class size is limited to 16 children per day and each child may be enrolled one day per week from September through May.

 

Program goals

Each child will:

·         develop basic social skills

·         increase independence

·         develop a trust in adults other than his or her parents

·         enjoy being part of a group and learn to share and cooperate

·         develop a desire to learn

·         become aware of the fact that he or she is a child of God and will grow in God’s love

 

Present Classes

·         Children must be 2 years of age by September 1 to enroll. If space permits, children will be accepted during the year as they reach the age of 2 or 3

·         Parents provide their child’s lunch. A short prayer is said before snack time and lunch time.  A mid-morning snack is provided

Applications are still being accepted for the 2010/2011 school year.

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 7. Parents have a choice of Thursday or Friday, the Tuesday and Wednesday classes are filled.  This year parents can enroll their child/children two days per week. Class size is limited to 16 children. Participants in the program pay a monthly tuition fee along with a $25 non-refundable registration fee. The monthly tuition fee is as follows:Tuesday-$95, Wednesday-$100, Thursday-$95, Friday-$95.

The monthly tuition fee for two days a week class is $165.

The curriculum is theme-based and includes preschool topics and Christian stories. A morning snack is provided and parents must provide the child’s lunch. All children are required to have complete physical and provide a completed Illinois Department of Public Health Certificate of Child Health Examination.
