Kingswood UMC offers a wide variety of programs for children and families:

Sunday School

We offer Sunday School during our 9AM service. There is age specific programming for children two years of age through Senior High youth.

  • 2-3 Years Old Meet in Room 121
  • 4 Years Old – 6th Grade Meet in the Activity Center
  • 7-8th Grade Meet in Room 135
  • 9-12th Grade Meet in Room 115

Our Sunday school program involves an age specific teaching time, games, music, snacks and community building. For more information contact Barb Symonds, Minister of Children & Family Life

Nursery

Staffed child care is available in our nursery at both the 9AM and 10:30AM services for infants – 1 years of age.

The nursery, and a nursing mothers room, is located in rooms 139, 140 and 141, which is on the West Wall of the Fireside Room. This is conveniently located close to the Sanctuary for families quick accessibility.

Children in Worship Service

All children ages four through 6th grade are invited to sing in our Cherub Children’s Choir, which practices during the 9:00am Sunday School hour. This group performs several times during the school year for both the 9AM and 10:30AM services.

We offer several opportunities for children to participate in our worship services. These include: Cherub Children’s Choir, The Annual Christmas Program, United Nations Committee on Relief Fund where children collect change during Halloween to help other children in need.

Special Events 

We host annual family events like: Harvest Fest in October, Super Saturday Faith Camp (similar to VBS) in November, Parents Night Out in December, and Parents Day Out Sunday in February.

4th-6th Grade Fellowship

Once a month we have a gathering for our 4th, 5th and 6th graders to build friendships, grow spiritually and have fun together. This group typically meets at the church but also does off site events through out the year. For more information contact Barb Symonds, Minister of Children & Family Life.
